In order to determine whether a patient is a good candidate for surgical weight loss, Marian Kurian, M.D., conducts a thorough evaluation that takes into consideration Body Mass Index (BMI), medical history, and previous diet and lifestyle changes to assist in determining eligibility. Once patients determine the best methods of financing the program, they are free set up an appointment with a psychologist and dietitian.
